While it appears to have been picked up on over in their native Italy, the prestigious high-end bike brand Colnago have made little noise over these parts about their new eGRV e-gravel bike... but we've spotted the first few for sale in the UK, and it's a beauty!
Colnago launch the e64 e-road bike, weighing in at just 12kg
Part of their 'Evoluzione' project, Colnago aim to make their electric bikes look as close to their non-assisted classic bike frames as possible - and thanks to the sleek eBikeMotion system, the eGRV looks every bit the regular gravel bike to the untrained eye. The 250 watt motor system can be used with or without power with a click of the Iwoc button on the top tube, and there are three power assist levels.
A high-end spec includes a full carbon frame and fork, Deda finishing kit and Mavic Aksium Elite UST wheels. You also get chunky 37mm WTB Riddler tyres and a Prologo Proxim saddle, plus full hydraulic disc brakes.
The eGRV is available in dark green or white colourways in six different size options from 46cm up to 58cm. We've found it for sale on two UK retail websites, priced at £5,199.95 with an Ultegra groupset and at £6,099.00 with Shimano's gravel-specific GRX Di2 groupset - you can also check it out on Colnago's website here.
