Saddle Skedaddle have launched a new range of cycling holidays specifically for e-mountain bike rides. Rather than focussing on novices, Saddle Skedaddle are looking to break that misconception by devising routes for experienced riders that will take them further than a standard mountain bike would without assist.
The range of trips include Ambleside and Ullswater in the Lake District, one in the Italian Dolomites and another in Spain's Sierra Nevada mountains. Saddle Skedaddle guide Steve Woods says: “There’s a misconception that electric mountain bikes are for people that need some extra help in the saddle. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
“The reality is a lot of experienced riders are joining the e-bike revolution because it helps them see and do more. Our new electric mountain bike range has been designed for mountain bikers who want to explore fresh terrain and experience some classic destinations in a brand new way.”
The three day guided trip in Ambleside sees riders take on some of the most well-known and fearsome climbs in the area, and in Ullswater you can test yourself and your bike to the max on hills and rocky fells. The trip to the Dolomites is a full week long exploring remote corners of the region, and the Sierra Nevada excursion is also over a whole week and sees riders taking on super tough alpine climbs.
Prices start from £295 per person for a Lake District trip and £1,295 per person for a European jaunt, with accommodation and full guided ride tours included. To check out all the trips on offer, head over to the Saddle Skedaddle website here.
