Waht about a tiny version of a 'stinger' - could even be kept in a jacket pocket.

Seems like they are wanting some sort of ray gun that will imobilise an ebike from range, without a very defined target. Except that the ray should apparently not work if the ebike is being stolen.

Good luck with that. Perhaps they should contact Rick and Morty

But don't ebikes also have pedals to provide motive force as well as the electronic assist.

Unlike ecars, but I do not know if escooters can run without power, but gravity is not always there and the pushing leg won't get you to far and fast.

It emphasises that it does not want solutions to prevent the loss/theft of an e-bike or e-scooter.

Odd that they would specifically exclude the single crime most likely to be "enabled" by e-bikes and e-scooters. It makes it seem that this initiative is more hostile towards e-bikes than towards crime.

Excessive speeds!

I did 35mph on my ebike last week and it wasn't even switched on !

Controlled stop - would that be like when you can't unclip?

Criminals on e-bikes and scooters?  Unless they can do more than about 30mph, just bring back the badger!
