A product recall has been issued for The-Urban xC1 e-scooter that was sold through retail outlets between December 2020 and March 2021. Importer and distributor ZyroFisher explains that the electric front brake can be triggered unintentionally.
The recall states: “At low temperatures and under extreme load, e. g. when jumping off a kerb, the electric front brake can be triggered unintentionally. This could cause the front wheel to lock while riding. The electric scooter THE-URBAN xC1 must therefore not be used any further until further notice. There is a risk of injury.”
Owners are advised to stop riding the scooter immediately and return it to the original point of purchase.
“Every effort will be made to ensure you are back riding as quickly as possible,” says ZyroFisher.
