Estonian e-bike specialists Ampler have unveiled their new range for 2019, with all three bikes getting new thru-axle front wheels and coming ready to go with lights courtesy of Busch+Müller.
Ampler are renowned for offering light e-bikes with a sleek appearance, and with hidden batteries and no up-front display (the assist on Ampler bikes is controlled via a small button on the seat tube) they look like regular city bikes. The Curt is the lightest bike they offer, weighing just 13.5kg in a size small. Described as "a fast-moving and bold city charger stripped of all excess", it has a 6061 alloy frame and full carbon fork with straight handlebars and tough yet nippy Continental Grand Prix 4 Season 32mm tyres. You can choose from a single speed belt drive version for a maintenance-free experience, or a 10-gear version with Shimano Deore M6000 shifters and derailleur for more gearing range to tackle climbs. It's priced at €2,890 in both versions, with mudguards and light included in the price.
The latest version of the Ampler Stellar gets the integrated mudguards and light set too, and costs €2,490. It has a 70km battery assist range and the fully integrated battery and electronics, and is now available in a new Space Blue colourway. It weighs in at 17.2kg, impressive for a step-through city bike, and there's also a rear carrier included to cart your stuff around.
The Ampler Stout now comes in a new Pine Green colour, and has been given the same Shimano Deore shifting and gearing upgrades as the Stellar. It also weighs in at 17.2kg, and is intended to be a modern commuter bike for comfortable everyday riding. Rear panniers, mudguards and lights come as standard, and it also comes in at €2,490.
All bikes are available to order on the Ampler website now, check them out here.
