Britain's biggest folding bike brand Brompton are opening a new flagship Brompton Junction store in the Shepherd's Bush Westfield Shopping Centre - and they will also have Brompton Electric bikes to hire, a first for the UK.
Brompton launch their first e-bike
It will open in April 2019, adding to their current London location in Covent Garden. Eventually there will be 15 Brompton stores across Westfield shopping centres around the world, and the new store will have access to Westfield London’s digital media screen network to further promote the brand. Brompton will have interactive bike build facilities in-store and a demo area, and the Brompton Electric hire scheme.
You will be able to take out the Brompton Electric for hire from the new store, which will be the first folding e-bike scheme in the UK (we're not sure of prices or the rules of length on length of hire yet, but will report back when we find out). As well as this, Brompton customers shopping at the Westfield will also be able to leave their bike at the store while they hit the shops, for a more secure way of storage thank relying on locking it outside.
