"Take a seat. Or two"... that's what Bird are offering with the launch of their latest shared vehicle, the Cruiser two-seater. The company are better known for their e-scooters, but are tapping in to the electric bike market with the Cruiser, which is somewhere between a motorbike and an e-bike being as it doesn't have pedal assist.

With a cushioned seat for two, Bird say the Cruiser "offers a new way to explore the city together". The 20-inch wheels and full suspension should make for a comfy ride, and it has a powerful electric boost to get you up hills quickly and easily.
It looks like a cross between a moped and a fat bike, and comes with hydraulics disc brakes and an LCD display to show your speed and remaining range.
While we don't have an exact launch date, Bird say the Cruiser is coming at some point in summer 2019. Their scooters are already in 100 cities including London, so we'll also be finding out if they plan on arriving on UK shores and update as and when we find out. We're also not sure how it will work legally in this country with EU e-bike laws, which is another thing we'll be enquiring about...
