Liv have launched the Thrive E to their 'on-road' line, in what they say is part of their continued effort to get more women on bikes. The bike is built to be fast and light, with a mid-motor and a flat bar for added comfort.
The bike is designed with Liv’s 3F Design Philosophy, and features Liv's Aluxx SL-grade aluminium frame. The new SyncDrive Pro motor from Yamaha provides a natural, yet powerful, assisted experience according to Liv, that should help riders get up to speed quickly. SyncDrive Pro features tuneable support modes offering up to 360% of a rider’s effort, and it also has a 'Smart Assist' mode that automatically adjusts the support level based on the rider's pedalling input.
Battery integration is in the downtube, and the battery you get is the EnergyPakSmart 375 that includes an integrated lithium ion battery, 6A fast charging technology and smart charging that can reach 80% of capacity in just 1 hour and 40mins 1.40 hours. On a full charge, Liv say the battery can last up to 110km before it needs a recharge.
The Thrive E+ Pro will be available in the UK in December, priced at £2,999 for the E+ 1 Pro model with 11 speed Shimano 105 shifting, and £2,749 for the E+ 2 Pro with 10 speed Shimano Tiagra. Head over to the Liv Cycling website for more info.
