Yuba has launched an electric version of its best-selling Kombi compact cargo bike. Priced at $3,200/€3,200 the Kombi E5 is the most affordable e-cargo bike in the brand’s range.
"When we launched the Kombi in January of 2020, the idea was to create a high-quality cargo bike that combined the characteristics of our Boda Boda and Mundo models at an attractive price-point," CEO of Yuba Bicycles, Benjamin Sarrazin, told Bicycle Retailer.
"That bike took off instantly, and we immediately started to design a version for those seeking to enjoy the e-cargo lifestyle for the same reasons."
The Kombi E5 is powered by Shimano’s STEPS E5000 motor with a 418Wh battery and fitted with Shimano Alivio hydraulic disc brakes.
Yuba reckon the bike can handle a 200kg load and it has 26” wheels to move the centre of gravity a bit lower.
A whole host of bags, baskets, boards and racks are also available as add-ons.
